Jenny Paik

I am a resident of Los Angeles who is passionate about serving the Korean American community. I have served both at my church and other church organizations for the last couple of years. However, upon hearing the work KCCD has been doing to unify the larger Korean Christian community, I was very excited to join the team. As a volunteer I was first working with KCCD's initiative to fight poverty here in Los Angeles with their partnership with the FamilySource Center program. Being apart of the outreach team, I helped working at the Wilshire Christian Food Bank and helped reaching out to low-income seniors and families who desperately needed government resources. Working with the FamilySource Center, I was exposed to both the great needs of our communities but also the great resources of our community. I encourage everyone to play an active role engaging their community through service.
